Royal Palace The former Royal Palace, which is now a museum, used to be the residence of the kings of Luang Prabang.
The Mystery: the Plain of Jars This area of Xieng Khouang province is named after the mysterious antique stone jars scattered across its countryside.  
Vat Mai - Luang Prabang This beautiful temple is in Luang Prabang and is emblematic of the traditional Luang Prabang architectural style. Its roof is 5 tiered and timber framed, the columns and doors are finely decorated and gilded.
Vat Phou Champassak In the south of Laos, in Champasak Province near the Cambodian border, some 200 km from Angkor Wat and about a one hour drive from Pakse on a good road, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wat Phou.
Pi Mai Festival April 13 – 15 every year, the entire country comes to a grinding halt. April 13 is officially the last day of the old year.

Laos is officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic today and elephants are not so numerous anymore but Laos is still the land to meet people whose kindness and hospitality is renowned Bordered with its neighbours China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, the RDP Lao occupy a regional geo strategic situation. Laos has kept exceptionally rich and diversified vegetation and also hosts a number of animal species to be discovered or rediscovered.The country has two World Heritage sites
Luang Prabang and Vat Phou

The Plain of Jars remains a mystery: nobody knows the origin or purpose of these amazing stone jars.
