Markets are everywhere in Laos. Big and small, you can find virtually anything, and often things you never thought you’d see! Vientiane, Savannakhet, Pakse and Luang Prabang have the largest markets in Laos.

The official currency in Laos is the Kip. At printing time the exchange rates were 255 kip for 1 Thai Baht, 8,500 kip for 1 U.S. dollar, and 11,500 kip for 1 euro.
